About Lake Adelle
Lake Adelle Property Owners, Inc. was established on August 13, 1969 as a Not-For-Profit Corporation under Missouri law. The corporation exists to operate and maintain community facilities—including the lake, roads, and common areas—for the benefit of its property owners.

All recorded lot owners in Lake Adelle and its subdivisions are automatic members of the corporation.
Board of Trustees
The Board consists of 7–15 trustees, elected from among property owners. Trustees serve two-year terms and may be re-elected.

Board Responsibilities

Approve expenditures, improvements, and maintenance projects

Oversee lake, road, and utility operations

Manage contracts, repairs, and long-term planning

Vote on community matters

Fill mid-term vacancies when needed
Trustees are expected to attend meetings regularly. Missing three consecutive meetings may result in replacement.

Duties of Officers
President

Provides leadership to the organization

Presides over all trustee, annual, and special meetings

Votes only in the event of a tie

Appoints committees with trustee approval

Coordinates annual activities and budget planning

Arranges semi-annual audits

Holds all Lake Adelle keys
Vice President

Assumes duties when the President is unavailable

Welcomes new property owners along with two trustees

Confirms new owners receive the constitution, bylaws, and restrictions

Performs additional duties assigned by the Board
Secretary

Records minutes of all meetings

Manages incoming mail and the post office box

Publishes and distributes newsletters

Files DNR correspondence

Sends assessment and delinquency notices

Maintains voting records unless otherwise directed
Treasurer

Manages receipts, disbursements, and bill payments

Prepares financial reports

Keeps records of all financial transactions

Must be bonded for at least $10,000

Works with the secretary to verify mail and payments

Maintains well and reservoir systems
Oversees meters, shut-offs, and repairs

Neighborhood Watch
